You Fit and Healthy - Interval training, Tabatas & MetabolismBy Jag252 A:Number 1 is your nutrition you must eat healthy to be healthy. This means a balanced meal plan of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. Number 2 training to lose fat and stimulate your muscles you must increase your metabolism. Weight training, Intervals and Tabatas are the fastest forms of training we have to reach your goals. Q: Im very busy how do I fit a balanced meal plan and training into my schedule? A: Everyone is busy today(its just my opinion but this is the biggest excuse we use to NOT do something). If you want to be fit and healthy make time. Creating more time is easy if you plan properly. Looking for a fat loss training program? Weight train 3 days per week doing 4-5 compound exercises 4-5 sets of 6-10 reps with 60 seconds of rest in between sets. Time? 45 minutes. Do Intervals or Tabatas 3 days a week(either on days you dont weight train or after your weight training. Pick 3-4 exercises do them in circuit style for Intervals or you can do 1 Tabata style exercise. This can be done in 20 minutes. Weight training combined with a good nutrition program is scientifically proven to be the best way to increasing your metabolism. Q: What about Meal Planning? A: Set aside an hour or so every week to plan out your grocery list and set up your meals for the week. Plan on eating 5-6 meals a day. This has been proven to aid in increasing your metabolism. Nutrition always seems to be the hardest part for most people. I do believe as do most fitness pros that nutrition is 75% and training 25%. You cant out train a lousy diet is a famous(and true saying among fitness pros). All the training in the world will not do you much good if the bulk of your diet is fast food. When we talk about 5-6 meals a day Im not talking about full meals. Start with a good breakfast(breakfast and early in the day is when you should take in the bulk of your carbs for energy. Mid day have a protein drink and a piece of fruit. You can plan your meals for the day on these guidelines. Getting Fit And Healthy is easy when you want it.
