Normal workout routine vs. competitive bodybuilding routine?

Can you answer Smokers are dumb!’s question about Bodybuilding?:

Whats the difference between a normal workout routine for which I want to loose weight, and a work out routine that I can use to eventually become a competitive bodybuilder?

Bodybuilding Feedback: Normal workout routine =45 minutes to 120 minutes max 2-4 times a week. moderate weights, lots of cardio.

Competitive body building 180-240 minutes a day 5-6 days a week, Extremely intense weight lifting. Minimal cardio(just enough to keep your lines how you like them)
That’s the big diference I’ve seen

Bodybuilding Feedback: You can basically put it to they are the same thing UNTIL you want to drop below 7% body fat. As you know there the key role in fat loss is not the specific routine but mainly diet. And the main difference as you switch to a ketogenic diet will be lighter loads and a decrease in intensity.

Just remember the key to attaining that desired look is not through 100’s of dollars of supplements or diet pills but a solid foundation in training and nutrition.

I found out the hard way until I went to and got answers. They require you to sign up for their newsletter but I got the e-book and its how I got back in shape after my wife had our two babies. (I ate all of her cravings too, she could take the calories but I couldn’t.. haha!)

Go to - sign up for the newsletter and then get the ebook.
