Should i get a treadmill or a weight set for my home gym?

Can you answer here_4_1_day’s question about Bodybuilding?:

It is going to be in the basement so the weight dosent matter.
Which will I benefit more from?

Bodybuilding Feedback: Actually you will benefit with either one, however, if you’re doing cardio only and not lifting weights, then the weight that you’re losing is not only fat and water weight, but also muscle. The two go hand in hand. Honestly, I would go for the weight set and find some other way of getting your cardio in if you can only purchase one of the two. If you can get both, then by all means do so. Weight training is very beneficial, as you build more muscle (lean muscle) you’ll burn more fat during exercise and even at rest. If you’re female, don’t be afraid to lift heavy for maximum benefits because females lack the hormones to bulk up like men do.

Bodybuilding Feedback: If I were you I would get a weight set. Building muscle not only helps define the way your body looks, but also helps burn calories. You also feel better after 30 min. of weight training than you do in cardio, but that’s just my opinion. I have lost 11 pounds this month in just 30 min. of weight training a day, for 5 days a week, and cutting out the unnecessary fat in my diet,(fast food),good luck bro!

Bodybuilding Feedback: It depends on your fitness goals. If you are very lean and want to build muscle mass, it would be better to buy the weight set. If you are more concerned about reducing body fat, get the treadmill, especially if you can’t/don’t want to get outdoors all year long for cardio. If you want to gain lean muscle mass and reduce body fat, get the treadmill and a cheap set of dumbells and supplement with some push ups and other movements.
    Good luck!

Bodybuilding Feedback: If you are looking for a Treadmill look in the classifieds near you. I bought mine for 50 bucks. They sell weights and things also. But you really need to workout 3 times a week while running. If you run a lot you lose muscle mass. Also dont run after you eat a lot of protein. If you do that then your body will feed off of the protein u ate.

Bodybuilding Feedback: I think you should go ahead and get the weight set. Lifting weights burns fat and build muscle. If you want to do cardio you should try doing some bodyweight squats. 4 sets of 25. Plus you will have great legs.
